Does anyone out there have the Edge EZ on an 04 SO? I have an 04 four wheel drive quad cab with a 48re transmission. The truck is stock. I am wondering what to expect for a difference in power and fuel mileage. I tow a 3k boat and trailer every weekend about 200 miles round trip. I average about 16mpg on the overhead. Would it be possible that my mileage might improve with the EZ? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

SO = Standard output

HO = High output

I have an 03 SO dynoed at 215hp stock and at 285hp with EZ on level 3. Pretty good seat of the pants improvment! Haven't had any problems with 2000 miles with EZ

The hardest part about having an ez is that you'll start racing everyone out there. I have mine on level 5 and tow a jeep on my car trailer most every weekend. I always end up getting in the third lane to pass the people passing in the second lane. Its really brings the truck to life.

DO IT! That box has proven itself on many trucks. I had one go bad I installed on my dads 03 SO, EDGE gave me a brand new one no questions asked! Its an awesome little easy upgrade to make and I bet you will be happy with one, and at least a pyrometer gauge wouldnt hurt to have installed either.

As for the SO... it is all we could get in Maine in 03 and 04. I generally has had plenty of power for me and pretty good mileage when running without a trailer. I get 21 mpg on highway runs and about 19. 5 on secondary roads when the truck is light. When I have my boat on it just does not pass as well as I would like on long grades. Lots of log trucks here and with the "instachip" paint it is good to get in front of them when you can. I am hoping the EZ will be the ticket.
