What should I be looking for when towing a 4000 lbs. travel trailer? It stands about 3 1/2 feet taller than the truck cab. I haven't been able to tow it yet (I can't even get to the trailer yet to check for damage due to the blizzard) since I've added the EZ. It came set on level 5 which is very nice (level 6 didn't feel right). I've been able to get the EGT's to 1200 pre-turbo after a full-throttle climb on a steady grade. Someone told me that I should not concern myself with a 4k trailer.

Searching through the forum has me believing 1200 is OK but 1300 sustained is bad. Other than EGT's, what else should I be looking for?

Look out for water in the trailer wheel bearings. You don't want to be towing the trailer without a wheel. No problem for the truck but the trailer might take offfense.

I agree, as long as your trailer is in good shape, the truck will have absolutely no problems with 4,000 lbs. Have fun!
