What to use to cover bed?

I am in need of a bed cover, and somewhat secure (not a toneau)... it would need to be custom since I have a extra wide/deep tool box up front.



I've been scratching my head, thinking of ways to cover plywood to protect it (like aluminum flashing). If I could find something like the fiberglass panels they use on campers, that would be neat... but where do you find that?



Any ideas?

Does the cover need to roll up? Does it need to be easy to remove? Does it need to self-stow on board when you're not using it?

Plastic or fiberglass sheet is fairly easily obtained from local materials distributors, but I wouldn't call it even remotely secure.
