I need to know from someone with a service manual what torque to put on the lower control arm frame bolts and eccentrics. I installed new eccentrics and torqued them to 110ft/lb (almost hurt myself doing it too :{ ) but my numbers are froma hayse manual and it wasn't exactly clear. It had something about a wax coat and ecoat frame. My truck is a mexican truck if it requires the frame coating. The numbers I got were 110 for one frame type and 170 for the other. I'll need a bigger torque wrench if it's 170.

Thanks for the help,

Kyle.

Thank You.

When I reinstalled them this time, the entire front end has a much better feel to it. It also killed the wobble/shake/bounce down to the point that I think it can be cured with an alignment. By the way, Whats the "MOD" you did to your trac bar? Was it just to compensate for the lift?

I'll retorque them a little tighter when I go back under the truck.

Again, Thanks.

Kyle

Search under the thread, "DT track bar may be dangerous"

I noticed that if you have a lifted truck using the DT track bar with the drop bracket when you turn the tires, the bracket moves since the DT bracket is underengineered. Unlifted trucks with stock tires don't seem to exhibit the problems. This problem has been discovered by me and many others with lifted trucks at pavementsucks.com

We welded two fingers on the ride of the bracket, bolted those to the frame rail. Installed a custom sleeve into the crossmember to cut down on flex. Next, I need to built a customer steel crossmember that ties both frame rails into the dt bracket, problem cured

Best to boot, DT does not care about thier customer's problems, thats why I don't sell their products anymore... .
