hi im pretty new on this site and the other day my shaft went down in my stock turbo.

now i dont really know what i should put there im on a little tight budget

the car is a 2005 dodge ram 2500 5. 9dsl autotranny

my mods is deleted cat and a smarty pod

and when my pocket is filled up again im looking for injectors 50hp or 100hp

(one of my injectors are leaking in my liftpump isent in the best shape it it does the job)

one shop recomended hx52 with she smallest housing

but here i have read that hx40 will do

(i like those holset the have a goog price)

any good aswer to this

the problem is that im afraid that the 52 will spool to slow

and the 40 will be to little

wanna reach 600 or more hp

now i have 429 or had

but how much boost can i get in there before the gasket will blow?

50psi? heard roomers about hx52 will put up to 70 in there?

what about the 40? and i dont need a wastegate right?

how should i do with the old one?

heard about modding mapsensor?

im going for performence more than towing i almost never tow!
i have a garret t04e lying around but i dont know anything else than its ar60 or somthing near that
that is alot too small right

the thing is that in finland i easy can get holset switzer and maby garret to fair price so then i will prefer holset

the bd super b is a switzer turbo. ii was looking for the spec on the be super b in that link to th other thread i sent you. i am 99% sure its in there some where but i cant find it right now. i can look later if you need me to then you can buy one of the shelf over there rather then goning through bd... .

th(a would be nice. read alot of treads and here they say hx40 will break but on other forums they say its good so now im going to look moor at the 52 with she smallest exhaus housing it will not bolt on but somehow it will do. . and thinking of adding a wastegate so it doesent go over 50psi and hope it holds up. . any opinions on this?

Be realistic about what you can do to the truck and don't get too big of a turbo. Too big and I will not be fun to drive. You may want 550p but that is a slipper slope of one mod needed another and it can run into money. There are some really good twins set ups now that use the stock turbo that can do very well at any sane hp level. (ATS and Industrial Injection come to mind. ) I wanted the smallest turbo I could get that'd do 450 to 500hp. I very happy with my modified Garrett turbo from Turbo Re-Source. The Super B is a good all around turbo.

Does any one know the measurements off the top of their head for the super b? I agree that twins are the way to go. i did not think i would want them but after talking to a few people and rinding in a few trucks with them thats what i am getting. i will just get the upgrade kit for the super b from BD.

the thing is that i want to go under 1000€ and that would be a singel and my stock is gone bad but i do have a very small garret can someone tell me how to build twins then or can i somehow meake them my self and how to plug it in? wastgate on which?

what is 1000E well idk now to make that symbol. something to rememeber most people on here at US and canida... .

1000euros thats like 1200dollars but often when somthing cost 800dollars in usa its like 800euros on the shelf here if we talk turbos if we talk injectors its double.

so i want a turbo that isent more than 1000dollar or a cheap twin/compound setup
willing to pay more fore twins or compound if its more bang for the buck
but on the otherhand i dont really have time to think much longer
so a good bolton from holset or switzer will do...

open for sugestions

ok i still stand with my bd super b. now i know you keep saying a switzer turbo. the bd super b is a switzer turbo. i am trying to figure out the specs for you then you can just go to your switzer dealer and get the one that is just like it... then when time and money is there you can add the 2nd one to match it very easy. bd has a kit to do that that has the hot pipe boost tubes and every thing that is needed!
