I'm useing this truck to sledpull only. (in the street class) the truck is an auto with a 2200 stall converter, the pump has been worked over, and it has injectors injectors one size bigger than 370's.

I know there are plenty of options but I just want to know what one will last the longest and yet perform the best.

Give J. R. Adkins a call,(317-281-3130)his lil 55 is a nice charger for what you want to do and they hold up really well.

You want to stay with a single charger I take it?

I would look at the Sled Puller 66 or Phat Shaft 66. There is a HTT Beta turbo in the classifieds (one step larger than the Sled Puller 66) for a decent price.

I would throw in a set of studs for piece of mind. Stock HG's have went a less than 40psi and some last for a while at 60psi. There is no "correct" answer, just whatever you feel comfortable with.

Anyone want to bet it will surge bad!

A SPS66 is not the biggest turbo that Industrial Injection sells... . FYI!

get the studs. between advancing your timing and running the higher boost its a must. unless you want to change the hg. how does the hx55 compare in durability to the ps66 or sledpuller66?

I have seen the 55 in many pulling applications and it is on our puller. I have also had this turbo on my personal truck and loved it. I experienced NO SURGING AT ALL.

I am not saying spray it but i say it will hold up and can almost bet if you SPRAY ANY TURBO THERE WILL BE NO WARRANTY!!!

Go with JR he is a stand up guy and will shoot you straight. Give him a call and just talk to him tell him Chris told you to call.

Lenny at Dynomite Diesel said he put down a little spray on his SP66, enough spray for 800+HP. It was 600+HP without the spray. I don't know of any of the SP66 that have blown up. Guys we pull with block the wastegates and are pushing 60 or so thru them. So far no problem.

That is the million dollar question

I think the Phat Shaft may have some more advantage box stock, but port out the wastegate on the Sled Puller(probably able to take at least 1/16" all the way around on both ports) and then put the extra cash on a cam and that combo will probably eat a phat shafts lunch. I just know what I can get a Sled Puller for and what a Super Phat Shaft 66 goes for.
