What type of Box

I own a 2003, 2500 6 speed. I would like a box that would remap timing, fuel duration and a bit of pressure. Also I would like to read and clear codes. I heard a few bad stories about downloaders, thats why I'm leaning toward a box with some kind of in cab control module. Banks sounds like it would answer my needs but I also heard stories about down batteries on the PDA and I don't like the ideal of having a nice PDA that's mounted with a piece of molding tape on the dash. Edge EZ with attitude doesn't read or clear codes,

Bully dog's PMT is a real nice piece of work but is a downloader.

Any ideals guys?

Lose your reservations about the downloader and get a Smarty. As far as I have seen Banks is the only plug and play that reads and clear codes but I may be wrong on that. I have now had the Smarty on 2 trucks with over 50,000 miles combined and NO problems at all and would buy another without reservation if I had a need for it. I have always been leary of all the programmers and plug and plays for that matter but my '05 has been in the shop on several occasions for this and that (nothing major) and I have never had a problem.
