Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) What will cause this code?

What will cause this code? It is P0500 I think its a no speed sensor something like that, and will it clear its self from the computer?

Idling up for an extended amount of time will do it, doing burnouts, or locking your brakes will do it, (e. g. driving in mid, or getting stuck) I Don't *think* it effects power, and after 30 cycles of the ignition, it will go away.

Cool thanks Merrick. I think I set it the other day when leaving work, when I backed out of the parking spot I was parked in the wheels spun a few times. The only thing that I noticed was when coming to a stop the engine would idle down, but then you would here it drop a tad more. Its not doing that any more, so I guess the code cleared its self.
