I noticed the other day that my brake fluid was contaminated. I switched to Motul 5. 1 fluid when I did my EGR conversion about 20,000 miles ago. I was surprised that it was contaminated with such low miles. I did a complete flush and noticed that the old fluid that I removed and placed in a glass jar is very green. Like algae is growing in it. That green. And there are white cloudy clumps. Any idea what causes this type of contamination?

Not sure but I vaguely remember reading that the high performance brake fluids absorb water faster than good old DOT3.
