I only have 120K on my truck and I'm thinking I should just replace some of the ugly things on my truck.

1. Headlights

2. Taillight

3. Cab lights

4. Wheels and tires

5. Replace cracked dashboard

6. Fix the AC/Htr vent issues

7. Door sills

8. Roof rack??

What products would you use and who would you but them from. I am open to anyone selling or just giving advice. I am most interested in the TDR friends telling me what they did because we need to help each other!! Thank you, Fred

I have 188,000 miles on my truck that has lived only in TX and MD. So extreme heat and coolish winters.

1. Best looking of all the years and I don't have an issue with the brightness like many complain about. Guess my 20/20 vision helps there.
2. Best looking of all the years. Hate the ricey looking ones on all the newer ones.
3. Have recons work and look great.
4. Personal preferance
5. My truck is a 04. Not a single crack on the dash and I don't have a cover
6. Not a single issue with mine to this day
7. No issues here either
8. Oh gawd, why?

Wash and Wax it more than I do

I do have the door weather striping thing going on,on the drivers side its doesn't leak air or water so no real biggie

It took me ten minutes to stop laughing after reading that. Good one.

We have a term for the winter weather in TX. We call it summer.
The coolish part was for when I was stationed in MD for almost five years. It get's cool there in the winter, but not cold. :D

A good detail job or home wash and wax would be the best investment of your time and money. Repairing or replacing worn parts is always a good idea.

You should get some responses from the satanic worshipers at least.

1. I like the 03-05 look of the headlights, but like the beam of the 06+. Given the choice I would probably upgrade to 06+.
2. Leave the taillights.
3. I am running OEM 4th gen clear cab lights, LOVE EM!
4. I have 2 sets of OEM aluminum 17x8's (hoping that the '13's have 18x9"s so I can get some takeoffs)...
5. Not an issue here
6. See #5
7. My truck came with the ones that were prone to ripping and I was out of the TSB window, so $36 later I had new ones. Cheap fix if yours are cracked.
8. Now where is that puke smiley...

In order to use 06+ headlights you need 06+ fenders, grill, headlamps, and bumper (just the top half).

Easy for me; lift it 4 or 6 inches and put 35'' or 37'' rubber Toyo Mud Terrains, on new rims. Get front and rear Buckstop Bumpers, Warn winch, add fender flares and mud flaps, get an aluminum flatbed with boxes under it, add a larger replacement fuel tank, fix the dash, fix the A/C, get it muddy:) then detail it. I'd add a roof rack if you ''need it''. It would be like a brand new truck.

I also am looking to do some up-keep maintenance on my 04. I do have a set of 18 inch rims for sale. And I also have vent problems with the a/c. I plan on a paint job and fender flares or would realy like to get the WHOLE truck linex-ed. LOL
