What would you pick?

A local radio station has a promotion going on now called "Two tickets to Paradise. " They are going to give away 2 tickets to any single day sporting event in the lower 48. Including airfare, and accomodations. I got qualified for the drawing last week, and everybody I know has a different opinion on what to pick IF I win. What does the TDR membership think? I`m inclined to do the Daytona 500, or the Super Bowl. Other ideas welcomed. Don.

I would like tickets to a Stanley Cup final game,but of course I would also like it to be a final game involving my beloved Bruins. But I will have to dream for now. My next choice would be the super bowl(again prefferably involving the Patriots).



There is nothing like playoff hockey in person,and the final is always exciting.



I may be a bit strange picking a hockey game,but I have been called strange before. I suppose I just think this is normal ,and everyone else is strange. Heck I drive 2 vehicles without pistons.



But i suppose if I were giving a vote I would say the super bowl,seeing that they have been pretty exciting lately.

If I hadn't already been, it'd be the Daytona 500. I'd probably think about the Bristol night race or the All Star race in Charlotte or maybe a Stanley Cup Finals game. The Indy 500 would be up there if it were still CART. How about the F1 race at Indy?

5 Trees, Thanks for the wishes. To the rest, good ideas all. Been to a series game, been to the MLB All Star game, been to a Stanley Cup Final, so scratch them all. I told the radio guys my first choice would be Cardinals vs. Yankees at the Zoo. 2nd was the Daytona 500. But, that ain`t final till Friday WHEN I win! But Bristol is sounding good now. I will post When I win! Keep working the TDR mojo for me gang! Don. Oo.

DKayser: If you have never been before, you have to do the Daytona 500 at least once before you die. You have to be there and do the races on on thursday, friday, saturday and of course the 500 on sunday. It is fun to watch the people and feel the energy that happens during those four days. If you ever do get to go, please feel free to contact me and I will be glad to tell you how to get to and from the track with relative ease.

I'm definitely not talking motorsports. Although there is probably a lot of different "sports" going on at the old mansion. All I know is that I'd sure like to be participating in or watching the "sports". Just give me a silk robe and some breath mints and I'm good to go...

Sadly, I must tell you all that.........

I did not win the trip. The guy who did is going to Ohio State vs. Michigan. Thanks for the suggestions. I found out that day that another option would have been a "Fantasy Trip. " You got to pick ANY sporting/outdoors trip & activity. I made up my mind then to do the Richard Petty Experience. However, the guy who drew the name did not cooperate as hoped.
