What yall doing/cooking for the 4th?

Well, my neighbor his friend and myself will head on down to the range and expend close to if not more than a thousand rounds of everything from . 22 to . 30-06 to 8mm (10-22's, Garands, M1As, Mausers, etc... . ) at some Osama and UN flag targets.



After that is we'll be tossing a bunch of marinated beef tips, tariaki chicken on the grill. Then soak in my neighbor's pool with a few Margarita's or some frozen drinks.



Nice to have a neighbor with a pool.



So ... what dead animal will yall be grilling tomorrow?

Be on the road to Arlington TX to visit my 92 year old Granny and 94 year old Grandpa (always known as Paw). They were married about 55 years ago right after WWII and neither can get along without the other. Probably take them out to dinner somewhere nice where there is lots of light so they can see their meals and just enjoy getting to be with them again. Oo. Oo. Oo.

We be doing something creative

We be gonna slooooooooooow barbecue'n an un par-boiled brisket in our gas barbee. Maybe six or seven hours on low flame, with a pan of seasoned water above the flame. Friday, Deerlodge to visit the old original Montana prison, and antique car museum. Saturday, visit the Montana Capitol bi-cenntenial party at the capitol grounds. Barbecue, ice cream social, western bands and capitol tours. Maybe one of the most beautifull capitol buildings in the country, and the oldest in the West. Sunday, mow the lawn, weed the veggies, and have a good cigar. We capitalists have this life figured out!

A safe and happy fourth to everyone. It's the third most important holiday beside Christmas and Easter.

While I've been fortunate enough to have many of the past 4th's off, I'm stuck working this one. Did manage to get the 6th off, which is when our town has a great family fair/ fireworks display. If you have a beer for me sometime between 1500-2300 on the 4th I PROMISE I'll have one for you shortly after 2300 .



Short story on fireworks... we had a woman loose 1/2 of her hand last week when she lite what she thought was a candle inside her home, turned out to be a M-80. We medivaced her and she's doing fine, but now has to live with a useless appendage that used to be a working hand. Not preaching to anyone, as I have survived many drunken fireworks displays when I was younger , just use caution as I would hate to see all those HO owners having to swap out to an auto .

Every weekend is racing or getting ready for racing so I need the down time with little momma. Then it's back to racing the truck!Oo.
