A few weeks ago, I researched front brake rotor removal etc. (I have a 2000-4x4)

I was planning on getting drilled rotors. I got the *&*%&^$# scared out of me when I heard

"axles have to come out, bearings might fall apart, hub assemblies 300$, pullers etc" then you can get to the rotor.

I thought aw heck, I'll wait till they fall off first.

My brother in law's 96 CTD 4x4 is getting the rotors changed and I saw the first hand nightmare it was.

So i pulled off my tires to rotate for the first time since I bought the 2000 and was delighted to see the rotor comes off the hub and the hub stays on.

I wish i would have known this or read it in a post.

Anyhow, the crossed drilled rotors are now on order and I'll be stopping much better soon.

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

I'll have to start looking at his site more. I would have bet money, based on what I was reading here, I had the nightmare from hell waiting for me! LOL
