I called a local Dodge dealer and they wanted $235. 00 to adj. the valves and $ 275. 00 to time the engine. At those prices a person could make a good living with just those two services.

Come to Turbo's Dodge shop. Need your timing fixed?:D

Course I talk to a mohammed. I don't think he knew what a diesel was.

The $275 for the timing is right around what you can expect to pay anywhere. Question is can you trust a dealer to do it right, after all it does take a little skill...

For timing, I would go to a Bosch shop. A&M Turbo in Macon removed the P700 on my 98, put it on the pump machine and checked pressures and then timed the pump, then reinstalled on my truck and timed the pump to the engine. That was $250. Valves, Do them yourself. Takes about an hour.
