So the bed on my 91 is pretty much trashed. The paintshop is coming up soon, and I want to get one before then. A guy I work with has a 92 dually, same color, and now he wants a flatbed. He said he would sell me the bed off his truck, and I just want to know if he is in line on the price or not. The bed is black/silver/black, no rust at all, great fenders, and includes taillights, tailgate, and diamond plate bedcaps. TIA

I was looking for one a while back, from local yards to online sources. I saw really crappy ones for a couple hundred, to one that had been removed from a 92 when it was new, and stored in a shed. The bidding on the latter was up to $1500, so I quit looking there.

The price of anything is what YOU think it's worth.

I certainly vote with the Tugger on that. You owe it to yourself to check around. But same color and nice is going to be a hard find. So that counts for something.

I just talked to him and he told me $750. Sounds like its a no brainer. Same price as another I found with a dent in the side and nasty running boards molded into the fenders. Best of all its local - No road trip required.

Yup, sounds like a good deal to me! If you don't buy it there's a "no brainer" involved for sure! ;)

YES, thats in line for what rust free beds are going for. I just bought a bed on EBAY for 300, rust free, but its not a dually bed and of course no fenders. Around these here parts... rust free beds are selling between 500 to 900, depending on condition (dents, scratches, paint). Good luck !
