Sorry, may be a stupid question, but I keep seeing references to BOMBING these trucks. What the heck is that all about?

It is an acronym for anything you do to improve the looks and/or performance of your truck. Better Off Modified Baby.

Yeah, that makes sense. I've already started looking at nerf bars, bigger tires, etc. Must be some sort of infection that comes with the truck. My other vehicles are stock and have been since new.

BOMB's can be dangerous

The big tires and nerf bars and fuzzy dice are pretty innocent by themselves.

The dangerous ones are the SPEEDBOMBS!

The ones that make the sky darken and the pavement nervous. !:D  Oo.

Dangerous to your financial and mental health. Stay away. ;)

Don't worry, we'll help ya out. Think of it as a support group.

I like the GO BOMBs much more than the show BOMBs

anutt,

Speed Bombing defined,

guages;$350

exhaust;$400

Perfomance chip; $650

Injectors; $900

turbo; $1200

transmission; $4000 auto $1300 standard

air filter;$200

$5000 + installation

:D

More like 1500 to 1700 for the turbo right now, just ask my wallet. My advise... leave this forum now, dont ever come back. If you choose to ignore this warning your bank account will self destruct in ten seconds.

Don't know about you guys, but I bought a TURBO-diesel. Why are you replacing the turbo?

It's already started; added a spray-in bedliner and nerf bars today, have 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country's on back order.

Help!

:D

CATCRACKER if I may modify your list just a little...

Yes you did, and a very fine one at that.

The problem is with us "need for speed" and "MO POWER" grunt grunt guys. We added fuel and timing to make more power, then we added a little more and then the stock turbo becomes too SMALL to pump enough air to meet our fueling demands. Some guys wind up using two or three turbos at once.

But I have my disease under control, I pay cash for everthing and then eat beans and rice for weeks on end. :D

BOMBing is a serious disease that most other people have no idea what kind of effect it can have on your lifestyle. I used to walk around whistling tunes to good 'ole music and waving at all vehicles on the road,, now, I'm not sure what has happened, but I walk around mumbling things about Injectors, Fuel pumps, turbo's, torque converters, clutchs. I look down upon and snarl at anything not diesel powered. I used to sleep peacefully, now my neighbors can hear me yelling in my sleep,, "NO, NO, A POWERSTROKE COULDN'T HAVE BEAT ME!, I HAVE AN HX40 AND BD3's! I NEED MORE FUEL, AIR, NOS, TWIN'S, METHANOL INJECTION,, HELP!!"

I try my best to cure BOMBitis. (It's what I do now... see sig :D)

Here's a definition,,

BOMBing : Purchasing products that give mild power boosts, and increase MPG.

BOMBitis : Replacing previously purchased products with products that can chew up and spit out any other truck on the road (cars too).

Since this pic I too did the nerfs and spray in liner, here is what your Toyo's look like:

How quiet are the tires?
Thanks, the tires a very quiet and I had a chance to try them in the snow just once and they were great. They have raised outlined letters but I turned them in so I don't have to clean them.

636 is the RMP's to have your Dealer program the ABS module for an accurate speedo.

They tend to grab up small rocks in the deep lugs is the only thing I don't care for. I am partial to Goodyear AT/S's

When these wear out I will buy another set unless Goodyear makes that size in the AT/S then.
