OK, sorry for the ignorance, but what's a clockspring? Anyway to tell when you should replace it? It seems as if a lot of guys have had them fail. Just trying to stay informed. Thanks in advance for the feedback/help, -Ken
Its a black plastic ring that is mounted behind the airbag in the steering wheel. It allows the steering wheel mounted radio controls and the airbag to work without wires twisting up. There is a recall on it, they break and your airbag light will come on. (Which happened to me). If your steering wheel starts feeling funny when you turn, that is usually the first warning
