I'm looking for info on a new lift pump for my 98. 5 24v I understand the cummins dealer is the best place to get one i plan on leaving the original in the stock location and putting the new pump right next to the tank btw would it be difficult to put a fuel fitting in the bottom of the tank?thanks mike

Are you planning on keeping the stock pump inline and working? If so you do not want to get another stock pump to put back by the tank - your pressures will be way high. If you are planning on running two pumps in series and want to use a carter pump back by the tank you want to buy their 7 psi 100 gph pump (stock pump is a 15 psi pump) to put back by the tank. This is the setup I'm running and I see pressures of as high as 20 psi and no less than 16 psi at WOT.

so what your saying is steve that the second pump in the system which would be the original pump kind of multiplies what its recieving. would you happen to know the part #? and are bigger bango fittings neccesary? thanks mike
