whats aluminum worth?

so I have a bunch of aluminum and wondering if any of you know how much $ per pound its recycleing for these days. . I have some copper too.

My Dad's friend just picked up my scrap metal and he got . 47 the last time on clean aluminum. I think it's like the stock market -up one day and down the next.

last time i went to the scrap yard, i got $0. 65 [cdn funds] per pound for painted aluminum [scrap aluminum siding and eavestrough ranging between 0. 020"-0. 035"] i had like 800 lbs in my little scrap trailer [4'x8' box just under 4' tall]

Just sold a bunch today. Called around a bit to get best price.



Clean painted extruded alum (what windows are made of) . 59/Lb



Dirty (old windows with weatherstrip/sealant, nails/screws) extruded alum . 50/lb



Clean roll formed alum (what screen frames are made of) . 54/lb



Alum cans (this place no difference crushed/uncrushed some places . 04-. 05 less uncrushed) . 46/lb



Copper was not posted on sign so no idea on that.



But couple other ones were tin 4. 50/100lb(not 100% on this) short steel 5. 50/100lb long steel 4. 75/100lb
