Folks. I have a 93 xj 2 door 5 speed. It's been sitting for while at my parents (in a large garage, well, barn with out all the animals and farm stuff)
The body is starting to rust from the bottom up unfortunately. The only reason isn't not drivable is that I never had time while visiting to fix the front left brake. And there's air in the system some place... .
Anywho. I figure the body isn't in such good shape. And the original (been rebuilt twice) dana 35 with 373 gears and posi is broke again, still drivable, wouldn't rely on it.
so I figure I'd part it out. It is my first car. But it's time to let her go :{
What I listed above is about the only down sides. . If I recall I have 177,000 on the transfer case and body.
The motor is rebuilt. 4. 7 liter Hesco stroker kit. Coated barrings. forged pistons. 9. 5:1 compression (about). Head has a 3 angle job. and bigger springs to match the bigger cam. Headman header. No exhaust system connecting the header to the duals in the back yet. The motor was properly fogged and stored. All openings closed off. I got about 100 miles outa the motor before I had to store it.
I did attempt to start it last july, however I had a bad battery and wasn't able to to it to turn over. Might be something else wrong in the electrical system. didn't wanna expense a battery for it to just sit there. With a wrench, the motor still turns over just fine. I re-fogged and re-stored it.
5th gear went out on the transmission and I had it completed rebuilt. it's brand new.
Clutch is new center force. 100 miles on it (before the brake caliper seized and I jacked up my brake job... )
Like I said, the rear axle toast. However, I received a Dana 44 from a durango. ZERO miles on it. It was a show piece for the company I worked for years ago. It's been sitting in the barn with the jeep with intentions to be shorted, and re-geared to 3. 73 and new perches. Figured this one will survive my driving
The axles were changed from 3. 07's to 3. 73's a while back
Brand spanking new set of BFG T/A tires. One or two sizes up from stock OEM tires, I for get the size. . 265's come to mind tho.
Drivers seat is a master craft race seat. No belts yet. Orignal seat broke. Passenger still in great condition. AS are the rear bench
Nice set of autometer sport comp gauges (monster tack, oil pressure, air/fuel, voltage (for the large stereo that I had it in)
MSD ignition with one of hte large coils and MSD wires custom fit to match.
K&N FPIK cold air kit. 100 miles on it as well.
Radiator is new. Cutsom aluminum shroud I made for it. holds 3 new flex lite fans
New front bumper and grill.
Fuel system has a nice regulator. I forgot who made it. but it's got all A&N fittings and all that.
HP should be 225? maybe 250 at the crank. The head gasket (some kinda of multi layer deal) is claimed to support up to 10psi of boost! (I got new bolts for this build) I did have plans for an EFI system and a blower some day... ...
This is just about everything. . List off what you all might think these parts are worth? If you want the entire thing? Well, lets talk and make a deal. Needs little work to get going. the axle need attention soon.
Jeeps located in Michigan right now. Spring time I may bring it back to Minnesota. So anywhere along i-94, deals can be easily arranged
