"If" an Edge EZ box manipulates timing at the vp44 by applying the pressure to the injector earlier and longer depending on the jumper 1,2 or 3 with 3 being the longest duration. Also applying different fuel ramping at different boost number's

Then i added the 275's with 7 slightly smaller holes in the head compared tho the 5 slightly larger holes in the stock injectors...

Are both injector set to the same pop off pressure or are the 275 set differently?

How about DDII's and others up the scale ?

I'm trying to understand what the vp44 does differently with 275's vrs stock injectors on the same jumper setting.

Not an Expert

You will have to wait for an expert but as I understand the VP44 has a set pop-off that it operates at and the injectors have to calibrated to this. And there is a difference between the ETC and ETH pop-off levels.

yes, the injector heavily influences timing because it sets the pop off pressure. and yes, the VP44 is calibrated to this. ETH injectors and ETC injectors are different -- that is a DD II for the ETC has a lower pop-off pressure than a DD II for the ETH. They are different part numbers.

On the jumper positions for the EZ. Those govern the low boost fueling only, as a way to control smoke, especially when you have injectors. They are out of the picture when running hard.

Yes, the EZ manipulates fuel delivery (both timing and duration) by re-mapping the fueling instructions and replacing them with different ones. That is, the ECM delivers a fueling instruction to the VP44 and the EZ sends another one right behind it. so the EZ makes the VP44 spit fuel sooner and longer.

the injector's goal is to keep the same pop-off pressure and timing, but to make the VP44 spit more fuel. It does this because during fuel delivery, the VP44 maintains popoff pressure for as long as the fueling instructions mandate, and in order to keep up with the larger injector it has to deliver more fuel. So all the timing and durations are the same (well, almost) but the volume "per squirt" is increased.

Hey Jim, How you doing. The horsepower got ya and you couldn't wait could you. lol So what do you think of the addition of the 275's? Wait till you do your transmission and you will really feel the power.

Mike,

I bet you did have a good laugh! You knew I wouldn't wait when you were grinning at me while I was driving your truck!! My truck runs great. Each step takes me further past the point of no return. By the way my Mom says I can't play with you anymore! your Dangerous! By the way again. . what is the name of that fuel system your running?

DLeno,

Thanks that helps.
