Anybody know if the 99 Durango/Dakota transfer case has any clutches, or only chains & gears? It is the part time box. I dont have a manual on this vehicle, and I am trying to remedy a mystery problem - some kind of vibration or shimmy. I cant seem to peg the source, but is getting worse as time passes. I cant find any problem with the tires, brakes, ball joints or CV shafts. Seems there is quite a bit of knowledge out there about these vehicles.
