I have got mach 3s and love them just want more power. Whats the largest injector that my phat shaft 62/14 can handle and keep egts in check? Are the machs one of the better injectors or are there others that should be considered? Thanks Jason

Could try some Mach 4's ,they are ok in my books--Don knows his stuff. i'm fine towing with all the stuff in my sig exept for the larger tires,i'll put the stock one back on if i'm going any distance. Don't know for sure but if you go any larger than 4's than your getting at the limit of the vp44 ability to deliver the extra fuel, maybe ask don for some special Mach4. 5 or something. My 2 cents. Later---DW

"Streetable" is a pretty relative term. What might be fine to you might be unacceptable to someone else.

Back in '85 I towed a travel trailer from Illinois to Central Mexico with a Dodge pickup running a big block, a lumpy cam, and two 4bbl carbs. I guess the fact that it made the trip made it "Streetable". But, most people would NOT have considered it a bit practicle on the street!!!

To each his own...

I run Mach 6's and a 62/12 charger with no EGT issues at all. I don't tow in the mountains and I DON'T have my vp44 wire tapped. With everything in my sig. , this truck is extremely streetable. I've towed 16k in rolling hills with no problems.

Mach 7+ and the Pro Street work just fine - work really well using the Smarty and just a lil pedal. Don't be scared of big sticks on the street. I could smoke out 8 lanes no problem but if you drive normal you don't have a thing to worry about.

Ditto, i have a set of 100hp inj that smoke just as bad as my 220's. It just takes CONTROL.

what are your egts/spool like now on the street jason? as you can see we have simular setups just wondering if the diffrence between 3s and 4s is that big

I rarely can stay in it on 5x5 to even see 1200 on a warm day then again it seems like on my truck the egts and cooldown times are higher/longer on cold days must have a miscalibrated IAT

I can go in and out of the petal even in 5x5with minamal smoke as long as im at 2000rpms or over. From a dead stop on 3x2 I light(10psi) at 1800

Rivercat,my egts are very controlable i can get to 1400 pre turbo but thats at around a 100 plus mph. The turbo is a little slow to spool up but when it comes in you better hold on. I was thinking about upgrading my turbo to the super phat shaft or silver bullet. Do these turbos spool any slower than what i already have? Thanks Jason

How much of a haze do you guys with bigger than mach 4's have? Say taking off from a dead stop normally or when you're cruising pulling a trailer? Mine hazes about as much as I would want it to. I can't take off "clean" if it's over 80 degrees outside. It doesn't smoke like a freight train, but it definately hazes. Also when pulling a trailer on the freeway, I can see a haze coming out of the tailpipe, not much but it's there. I'd like to try bigger sticks, I just don't want to end up having too much smoke when I don't want it. Oh I'm at 1000ft. And the acceleration haze pretty much disappears if it's under 50 degrees and gets worse the hotter it gets.

I don't have any haze. I read a post from a 3rd gen guy who had a haze during normal cruise with a SPS66 and it cleaned up when he downsized to a SPS62.

yes, streetable is pretty broad since i've been snapping chargers like toothpicks 4 in one month i'm waiting on one to be built to take some abuse and i went back to the stock HX -35 with a 21. 5 housing and im running 7hole . 016 injectors on the street for everyday driving. it smokes at idle but you have to be easy on it. they are so huge that it instantly buries the 1600 degree pyro but if you hold it there it will start to cool itself down with all the excess fuel back down to 1350 1400 degrees.

I run mach 4s 62/14 turbo and comp on 3/5 every day no problem ;)

Towing my 5er 14k comp on 2/1 exhaust temp 1150 :D killer set up all around

It runs better with no camper hooked up :-laf :-laf

150 hp is about as big as you would ever want for the street. My 150 dragons can get pretty smokey on top with the fuel turned up. Don't count out Industrial Injection when it comes to injectors. These things idle like the stockers & are very controllable on the streets, but I would never consider going any bigger than 150... especially if towing. The power is awesome & smooth right off idle. I ran them with a 62/12 & egts were good unless you are trying to go 100mph... They would be pushing the pyro.

my 150's are great. they wont smoke unless I want them to. that is with my hx-40. a 62/14 should work great. that is what I am looking to get down the road.
