Looking to sell my 96 dually, 168,000 miles. Waterfall paint, aqua and white, auto with a goerend converter, #10 plate, new 235/85 michilen xps tires, torklift super hitch with tie downs, excellent condition. Whats it worth. NADA says average retail is $9000 to $14000.

Nada did list $5625,$9450,$13600. Of course yours had lower mileage then the one in auto trader and more up grades which could be a plus or minus. It also would depend on what trans the truck had. I think the 5 spd would bring more money.

I'm not trying to be argumentative or say your truck's not worth more than $6500. I just don't see it being worth anywhere close to $14K. I would say it should bring in the neighborhood of $8K-$10K.

Go big. Hard to go up in price. But if it's really clean starting at 14 might be a good place to wind up around 10-12 with all the extras. Also good buyers will search out the various ads and forums if they are looking for a specific truck, asking 18 on one site then 14 on another, I've seen that not work out at times.

At the same time respect the buyer when possible if they know they have to put $ in to the transmission and some of the other basic stuff that a high mileage truck needs done.

This came up when I clicked that NADA link.
