Is your truck stock right now?? To make that much, will take a decent amount of cash but it is definately do-able. There are cheapo ways to get there but they may not be the best ways, then there are expensive ways to get there that are the right ways. Just remember to give it more air as you give it more fuel. :D

Take this with a grain of salt, since I don't own a 12 valve 2nd gen truck. :D Hopefully the others here can let me know how close to reality I am in my suggestions.

Anyhow, I'd do:

1. Boost, EGT gauges

2. Advance injection pump timing to 15 or 16 deg.

3. TST #10 plate

4. PDR 3000 rpm governor spring kit

5. Rip Rook 4" exhaust

6. BHAF or AFE intake

7. F1 Mach 3 EDM injectors, or 370 injectors from PDR

8. PDR HX-35, or DD Jammer, or the Dodgzilla turbo. Maybe even something bigger.

Naturally you'd need a better clutch by that time.

That's also probably in the order that I'd do them as well, but maybe someone who actually knows what they're talking about can correct me where I'm wrong. :D

Thats about what I would suggest as well. Its all in how much you want to spend and how fast do you want to go. :D

Call Piers (604) 853-9396

Kill your KDP if it's not done yet.

Go for your gauges (first) and do the timing.

I'd go with a more aggressive fuel plate than number 10, but that's me.

I have a 4K GSK, and recommend it.

Exhaust is a waste of money. (this will probably get hotly debated, but I had a stock ex. until after I was over 400 hp, and when I put the 4" on, it made 0 diff). Just cut the cat out.

You may want an ATS manifold, as sometimes the stock one gives problems...

Put an AFE, K&N oiled, or Holley oiled air filter in it.

370 injectors (you can go well over 500 with them).

Bigger turbo from someone who'll stand behind it, and don't abuse it thinking they won't know... ;) Read and ask questions before you buy.

Upgrade your boots.

When you blow your head gasket, get it O-ringed. Or if you want to be safe, do it right up front.

I'm probably forgetting something... :)

See my sig below, thats what it takes and it works good. EGTs are not a problem except in extreme cases like drag racing or pulling the travel trailer up long steep grades at 70mph and then its not a problem just have to watch it close. I dont make a lot of smoke and the fuel mileage is better than stock when I keep my foot out of it. It takes at least a South Bend Con OFE clutch to hold it. I expect I am making at least 35 more hp than the dyno figures listed as there have been a couple of changes since last dyno.

Just my $.02

I am real close with just a #10, 16cm turbo housing and some advanced timing. My truck and Deezul1 trucks run pretty close... we had a chance to drive each others. He is using bigger injectors with a smaller plate, I and using stock injectors with a bigger plate.

I would expect most trucks you list to go over 400 with a #10 and 370 injectors. Things will be real hot with stock turbo and even the 16cm housing is not enough.

OH... you will need something more then the stock clutch if you want to use 400hp.

Buddy, you live in Louisiana, you don't need to deal with someone way the hell over in British Columbia. Plus you can get most of the stuff for much cheaper and the stuff is exactly the same.

Slide/yank plate - FREE

370 injectors - ~$300-$350

CLUTCH:D(Southbend is best, Con FE or OFE) - ~$1000

Gauges - ~$250-$300

ANY 3k Gov Spring Kit - $150 or less

Set Timing to around 18*-20* - less than an hour's labor if you have someone do it

Block off or tighten wastegate

The Clutch will push the total BOMBing costs up, so I would do that first lest you hit that problem of burning up the stocker and not having the on-hand funds to replace it after the fact. After that go to town. With the clutch, you are looking around $1800 in parts, plus you will have a little labor for timing and wastegate, and any labor to install the stuff you can't do yourself. Now these are all parts to fully USE 400rwhp, but to just MAKE it, you can get by with just some timing, 370's, and yanking the plate. That is of course if you love the smell of a fried clutch:{
