What's new for the 2001.5 Ram?

So, whats new for the 2001. 5 Ram. I heard it will have 4 wheel disc brakes (Its about time), and a better, more stout, auto transmission. Does it have dual piston calipers? Any other nice improvements I'm not aware of? Does anyone know?

E-Brake goes on @ delivery time, Bed comes off and will be replaced by a custom aluminum work body / flat bed. Ordered on 03-28-00

Ya! I'm a newbe but glad to be here, this site is GREAT. My truck order has been canceled a couple of times, reordered 7/10 and is now "G" status as of 8/4. They say there's a reason for everything, Hope "they" are right. Never been a big fan of new features, hope problems with sticking calipers don't become a problem with the rears also, Rotors ain't cheep. As for the other new features, Yaaaaaaa! Hooooooo!

It's probably one of those lamps that illuminates when your seat belt is not fastened. Pretty neat huh?

V10foracummins, I saw a 2500 SLT+ today at the dealers and it had 4 wheel disc brakes.

Just saw a 2001. 5 Ram at my local dealership with 4 fullsize doors. New crew cab??? I didn't stop to look as it was raining, but the truck looked sharp. I wish I had waited a few more months.

Cat992, if the truck you were looking at was at the dealer in Union Grove, that truck was built by a company in Minnesota. It looks like a factory job though #ad

Yeah, I seen the same truck at Martin's in Union Grove, just about got into an accident when I got whiplash to look at it. Never went to go actually drool on it, but I may now if it is still there!!!!

I got the list from a fellow TDR member on July 12, 2000. He had sent me an e-mail with a scanned image from what looks to be an offical DC document. I have not seen an original copy of this documentation. He said it was a paragraph at the beginning of the Ram Truck spec sheet, which I am assuming he obtained from a dealer. There has already been a couple of sightings of 4 wheel disk brake trucks reported on the TDR.
