I've got the Edge Comp. I couldn't be more pleased. Sometimes I find myself adjusting the settings just to see what the box is capable of, and I'm never disappointed. Their customer service is incredible as well. I don't have experience with the TST, but if Edge didn't make such a great product, I might choose the TST.

If you don't have gages, I'd go with the FMS box. I have gages and I'm still thinking about going with it. I'm happy with the Comp, but if I can figure out a cool way to mount the FMS, I'll do it. If anyone has pictures of the FMS on their dash, please post them. I like the button features on the FMS, though I haven't seen one live.

Tpruitt don’t forget about the JVD box. For the last 10 thousand miles I have run an Edge comp drag box, and I must say I have loved almost ever second of it. In the last month in my quest for more power I have tried a Ultimate FMS blue chip box with a bullydog timing box and a JVD box that I just got a few weeks ago. The blue chip box had some really cool things it did very well. Just to name a few, Smoke control worked great. Being able to control timing very cool too. But What I didn’t like was how long it took to go from ever day driving to all out kill the pump race mode. But their wasn’t’ enough gain to justify the $1550 price tag. So for grins I tried a JVD box with the D AND E code. First on the low side I wasn’t impressed no low end compared to the edge comp. But it made very little smoke even with my BD 5 injectors and they will fog the road on command even with out a box. As I went through the gears I found my egt are higher then the comp and to my surprise I look down and I am doing 90 mph in 5 gear and it’s still pulling like a rocket. My comp pulls like this when it’s set to 4 or higher but it shuts down a little in the upper rpm. The comp doesn’t pull like this at 90 in 5 gear. OK that was cool now time for the high side. WOW EGT out of control (stock turbo) truck still doesn’t have the low end torque of the comp but it’s getting close but as the rpm come up it is now screaming on the top end. Comp can’t compare. The lowest I can pull my fuel pressure with the comp 11 on a good day. JVD by it self 9 psi and it went there in a hurry …………. 2 days later I plug my comp back up but didn’t hook up the pump wire. All I can say is HOLY SMOKE my truck makes more power now then it has ever made before in any rpm low or high. JVD box on low comp on 1 on 1 it’s like driving with the comp on 4 to 5 untill you hit the high rpm it just keep fueling. Turn the comp to 5 on 5 and flip the JVD box to the high side and well let me just say that this is the first time since adding performance parts that I feel like I am going to break something do to too much horse power. With both boxes set to kill I have seen my fuel pressure drop to 7 but do to exhaust temp I had to back put of it. And I think it was still dropping.

Tuesday after work I found a HX 50/55 turbo that is going to be installed Saturday. I will keep you posted. As a side note the boxes can be turned on and off in just seconds the comps smoke control works great even with the pump wire off It still make very good power by it’s self. I have never tried a TST box on my truck but with what I have tried nothing so far has ever come close to touching this set up that I have now. And best of all it only takes a second to go from mild to wild unlike the blue chip box. But don’t get me wrong I did like the blue chip box and even the limiting egt thing was cool too. But in my quest for more power it just wasn’t in my trucks future.

tpruitt , One of the many things I Like about the Blue Chip Fuel Management System (the Blue Box) ( http://www.bluechipdiesel.com/) is that mounts on the dash it has a built in set of gauges (pyro,boost,tach,vp44 fuel rate, % of increase, defueling, timing box, smoke control setting, Max values records temp, boost, rpm, and more).

This is just one thing the box will do. The pyro temp in the box will handle both, post and pre turbo setting. You set the box at what temp you want the defuel to start and when you reach that temp say 1300 deg preturbo it does it automatically. The box starts flashing (warning defueling). This is good when you have a lot of thing going on it is just one more thing you don’t have to look at. But it is the most important. This is a very BIG safety factor you will not hurt your motor in any way. NO MELT DOWNS. By oferfueling. Thank you Blue Chip. PS The blue chip box sells for $1,095. 00 sounds like alot but it comes with a set of good gagues. Also the Blue Box put out 60wrhp more than all the other boxes I tried. OverFueledOo.

They're all good boxes. All are backed by some of the finest people I've ever met, and are high quality. With a TST, however, you get fast in-cab selection between levels 0-9, and with the deluxe remote, you get built-in gauges. Custom fueling programs are also available... .

Best box? The one you just paid several hundred dollars for!:D ;) I'm real happy with my Edge Comp.

For you guys that have not been around that long, Roger Rodbolt and Brair Hopper are from a VERY small club. They have tested most if not ALL of the boxes on the market, and a LOT of other performance enhancements as well. They did not get one, like it and profess it to be the end-all box. They also know what the strengths and weaknesses are between the competing boxes. The best part is they are a pair of the most helpful guys around, if you have a question ask and if they know they will tell you. The educated opinions of guys like them are quite valuable IMO.

I would have to say go with the FMS it is really a great mod, the gauges are very percise, easy to read, and this box throws down the power. If you stack it with an ez or other timing box be ready for your head to bounce off the back glassOo. Oo. Put it with a set of DDII's :--) :--) . I am really happy with this box and in my opinion it is well worth the money.

The only thing that i dont like is the mounting options I dont think that it looks that great just sitting on the dash, so i put mine where the center vents are, it looks alot cleaner and it didnt stop the flow of air as bad as i thought it would

TST's full comp fuels the most, Blue chips FMS is the most user friendly, and also check out the box by Dyno Sources, . . they attach to the pump under the pump lid so no warrenty isues. My advise is TST's full comp and tell Mark u want it all and more and then add a timing box like edge, . . good luck

I have the TST Powermax Competition box and let me say that this is one wicked fueling box. It is very aggressive. I also have DD2's at the moment(going to supermentals). When I put it on level 6, my truck lights off like a firecracker. When I put it on kill(level9), WATCH OUT! This baby becomes a flamethrower. The first time I nailed the throttle on level 9, you should have seen my face :--) :--) When I thought it couldn't get any better, my friend put an edge ez on with it. Holy Smoke, talk about bottom end. You can't go wrong with a TST Comp box.
