Whats the best chip for an 07 5.9 cummins

I have a 2007 2500 4x4 6 speed cummins and im trying to figure what the best chip would be to get for the most HP and torque. I have already tried a Bully Dog triple dog tuner but was unable to try the crazy larry tune because it isnt available yet for the 07's.

I think the best off the shelf chip or a pretty much stock truck is the smarty... My buddy has one and loves it... . The TST has put down some very good numbers too... Welcome to TDR and remember to search first ... . Wes

Depends, if you want bells and whistles and change on the fly HP levels an Edge is the most popular does a greta job etc. If you are looking for the ability to stack with other products and are after totally hidden use at a dealer and great HP prefoirmance we always reccomend the Smarty!!



If you want, as you mentioned MAX HP, then the Smarty and a stacked second product will be the way to go. BUT be prepared you'll need to start looking at turbos and injectors to make it all work at the best efficiency and EGT etc when you start stacking. We have a 204. 5 here at DPPI with a Smarty and Stacked and it's waaay killer.



It's kind of like paint colors, they make lots of choices as everyone has a different opinion. Take some time a read these forums and you'll come up with the answer that is right for you.
