Up here in MI, it gets a little chilly in the winter, does it make a difference in starting, or general running with larger injector's?

Thanks, Rob

I have had a couple of 20 degree starts and with DD3's it ran and idled like a dream. However we don't get the cold here in the Pacific NW that those in the northern part of the midwest get. :)

Rob, I've had the BD 5's in since last year, no problem straight through last winter. The coldest we get is typically single digits, with the norm. running in the mid-teens for lows at night during the dead of winter. If you can plug in, it's a non-issue, she fires right over. I can't plug in while at work, and after 9 + hours of sitting, it does take a milisecond longer to fire up after the wait to start light goes out. Not really an issue though.

The only other thing I can add is that a good ebrake would be very helpful to stop wash down at idle when it's cold. Assuming that you would see wash present in oil analysis, mine always comes back clean. I can't recall if you have an ebrake ???

No e-brake yet Scott, I'm still waitin' to see what I do with my turbo(s), before I make a brake sizing mistake. However, I do have a high-idler.

Interesting, what part of the analysis indicates this? Guess: % fuel in the oil?

Another good reason for the e brake :D

"What's the biggest injector one should use in the winter?"... . a smaller TPS reading would be the best :p

I have DDIII's and live in snow country... non issue...

That's what I go by, but don't quote me ( no pun intended) as I'm not sure how much cylinder wash down it would take to show up on a oil analysis. Maybe one of the experts can jump in on that one.
