Whats the build time running?

Ordered my 2003 SRW 3500 HO/6SPD on 09-24. I called Chrysler today (10-11) and was told it's still not scheduled to be built. We had a trip planned for the Thanksgiving weekend, but unless things really pick up, we wont have a pick-up (pun intended!).



Once they start production, how long has it been taking to build and deliver these units?

Hope this helps, order date 8/22, estimated ship date 10/02, truck shipped 10/7. Dealer said I should see it first week in November. Shipping time app. 3-4 weeks from Mexico to Long Island New York

Truck ordered 9-5. 03' 3500 SRW QC Long Bed. Truck Built and shipped out on 10-3 and is currently in Walbridge Ohio heading east to Twin Oaks PA. Should get here next week I hopeOo. Been tracking its progress on CSX railcar tracking hotline

I ordered 8-12-02 and as of today my truck is f-1 (paint), Dealer said better figure on two weeks. I see some of these trucks coming in a bit quicker. I wonder if DRW has any thing to do with build time.

I am from the 2nd Gen. truck club but I might be able to offer some advice. I special ordered my 02 BR2500 and the dealer had absolutely no idea about the progress of the truck while it was being built or when it shipped. Get the CSX tracking info and track it yourself , but first make sure that your dealer put your truck order on SOLD status with DC or it will not get priority. Get the V. I. N. number as soon as it is available and you can find out alot more info through DC. I ordered my truck on 10/04/01, DC started building it 11/28/01 and finished it 12/05/01 and it arived at my dealer on 01/07/02 .

Don't rely on your dealer for the correct info; they usually just give you a song and dance, be persistant and find out the progress yourself, if you want an accurate delivery date.
