Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) What's the current LP part number for '99?

Just had to put on the spare LP last night. I got about a 14 months out of it, with it being located on the frame rail.



Now that the spare is on the trcuck, my question is:



What's the current part number for the stock type LP?

Is this the Cummins #, and is it the same for the '01?

Yes this is the cummins #,I;am not sure if it the same for the 01. I would contact your local Cummins dealer and ask them

Cummins Southern Plains said it is the same for the '01. Will have it tomorrow.

What is the difference between the Cummins 3990082 lift pump and the Cummins 4090046 pump? I have seen both numbers listed in the last few days and now unsure as to which would be used on my truck.

OK, the new pump is installed. Now have pressure, but most times below 5 psi, a couple of times went to 14 psi. Truck still dead, probably needs another VP44. Codes stored: 370, 602, 1689, 1691. Is a variation of fuel pressure common when the VP fails? Should mention this is a '01.
