woke up this morning to goto work, truck didn't start. cranked on it until I killed the batteries. Bought some new ones @ good ol' Wal-Mart about 5am. dumped a bottle of Diesel 911 in it, and ended up bleeding the fuel lines, and replacing the fuel filter. finally got it to fire up. drove to work, now just shakey since I'm a hour from the house.

alright went to start it up at lunch, didn't fire again. got it back up and running. It looks like the one of the fittings on the Injection pump is leaking, looks like the one you can test the fuel pressure out of.

The VP has about 30k on it, the lift pump was replaced at the same time. So far just said screw it, and the thing is running in the parking lot until I leave here today. Any help would be great.

filter was fine only had 1000 miles on it/about 2 weeks old, replaced it with a new WIX this morning, no fuel pressure gauge, was planning on putting one on w/tax check.

runs fine once I can get it fired up. just getting it started is the pain...

guess I'll be taking it someplace on the way home and see if I can get it checked out, what should the fuel pressure be at idle? around 10 psi?

with a good pump you should see about 13. 10 woul dbe kind of low. not terrible though. I would reccomend doing that first, because if the check valve is sticky it may drain fuel back making it hard to start, and possible have low fuel pressure while running.
