Nice Ram for conversion............

Hi all,

I thought this would be the best place to determine what a wrecked truck goes for, since some of you have or are using wrecked trucks for conversions. To the point, I can get a 2x4 first gen with Cummins and 5 speed pretty cheap. I have not seen the truck personally, but is supposed to have ~60,000 miles, was t-boned towards the rear, and has been sitting for about four years. My friend was thinking about buying it to convert an old Ford but I think he is talking himself out of it more each day. I am curious what a whole truck is worth, I'm thinking about $2500.

Like I said, I haven't seen it with my own eyes, but the motor is said to be good as well as the trans. As far as I know it hasn't been on fire or anything like that. Well what do you guys think?

I bought my wrecked 98. 5 3500 4x4 loaded SLT 5 Speed it was 2 years old and had 80k on the clock for $ 5k... just for info

IMHO 4K would very high

Run of the mill engines with p-pumps,100,000 miles around here go for $1700 to $2000.

After Willy wrecked his truck, we was like buzzards around a road kill--everyone got a piece, I think. :D

be surprised . . still looks like a wrecked Dually, but it is dying a piece at a time one of these days I'll route a bout 300' or air hose down my hill [the short route] with my impact guns. . to my old rig and drag my Victor wrench down with me and finish it off. . then haul the hulk parts off to the wrecking yard. .

probably early spring

i've seen them go for $1,000 all day long. I bought my 94 truck, and it ran fine, i bought it for $3,000, and it wasn't totalled at all.
