What is the hose coming off the back side of the P7100? It looks like a JIC fitting on the pump with a braided line connected? I'm trying to replace the return line and I need to remove the hose from the fitting but I don't want to cause more problems.

Thanks!

Scott

That should be the oil supply line to the pump. hope this helps. No one answered you so i figured that this would be good enough reason for a "first post" good luck. :)

Welcome and thanks for the reply!

That's what I figured it was but I didn't want to make more problems if you know what I mean. Any reason I shouldn't take it loose or anything I need to do after hooking it back up?

Thanks!

Scott

Your good to go.

It just supplies oil to the pump.

Keep things clean and you will be fine.

No thread sealer is required, no torque specs, factory manual states "install oil fill tube".

Thanks for the replies! I got the job done with a re-route of the return line from Joe Donnelly's article in issue 44. Only difference was that I took the oil feed line loose and bent the metal part of the fuel return line back and forth until it broke of at the big tab and cut it off to use for the hose barb.

Thanks TDR! :D
