Competition What's the hp capability of a 12V?

Someone fill me in, I'm a 2nd gen guy, just learning about the HPCR engines now. However, what's the hp capability of a built 12V engine?



A guy I know has a 12V setup for pulling, a shop does all of his work for him, and it runs awesome hooked to a sled. I don't think he even really knows what has been done to the truck, single turbo, engine work, revs pretty high (around 5k I think), smokes alot:-laf .



What sort of hp level would he be around?



Pretty sure he's running on #2 alone.

As far as 12valves, I will tell you when mine is done... . 1000+ has been done.



For a HP# on your buddy we would need some more info.

Just put a chip on it, you'll get alot that way :-laf

Based upon the shop that does his work and what I have heard, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't pay for a chip somewhere along the line

12 valves can not be chipped!!! :-laf :-laf Only mechanical upgrades work on these engines.

I know that, I'm saying that I wouldn't be surprised if the shop charged him for a chip. He wouldn't have known any different...

its possable to see a 1000 hp on a single charger. I would doubt it if your buddy is seeing that with his lack of knowladge. But 1000 hp is possable.
