What's the one thing your Ram really needs, but nobody makes? This would be a good place to get it out there, maybe many of the parts suppliers that regularly hang out here will answer your prayers.

I'll go first: I would like to see a software package for a laptop (or even better a Palm Pilot) that would allow us to "talk" to our ECM's. Ability to change paramaters (like the high idle in cold weather thing), fuel maps, timing, and of course diagnose problems.

palm pilot interface

JLinder, the last issue of TDR had an article/ad for an interface exactly as you describe. Allows your Palm Pilot to "talk" to your Cummins 24V.

NETim, pardon my ignorance...

For my better half "accidently" deposited my laster TDR issue in the garbage before I had a chance to read it...

Deezul 1

Yes, she still is... If I tried anything different, I'd end up on the losing end of that deal. Funny how a little thing like her scares the crap out of me...

Why doesn't one of our transmission specialist look at putting a Fuller 6 speed auto (F0-8406A-ASW) in our trucks. Sure it would be exspensive but I would bet there would be guy's willing to pay. Then we would have a true medium service transmission to go with our medium service engine.

I would like to see a Boost, Pyrometer, Oil Temp. and Fuel Press. gauges come as standard equipment from factory, or at least offer it as a option.

Maybe the 2003 will have that. JUST DREAMING!!!

DamnNear Chrysler

Get rid of Jughead Shrimp and any Axis engineers/ managers, restore Chrysler to an American corporation. Send them over to Generic Motors, that should provide us months, years, of hilarity and entertainment! That would be enough of a Christmas present for me. No more "D" in front of the "C"... ...

needed

said it before, i'll say it again... ... ... . 2 things, actually. a "stout" auto transmission mated to my ctd, with the ctd allowed to make about 90% of its potential power--without the need to BOMB both to get there!! warranty on that setup would be nice, too... .....
