I was planing to leave for Florida, with the RV, tomorrow (Thursday the 31st). What are the roads expected to be like south of Flint, through Ohio and into Kentucky, for Thursday and Friday?

We're getting predictions of 6-10 inches of snow, beginning tonight thru tomorrow.

Don't know about the roads or weather in between you and FL ... but it was 81 degrees here in VA today!!!!! UNREAL

Doc, I was headed to Donna,Tx. from York, Ne. ,to del. a 5er, and couldn't get past Kansas, had to go 50mi. west of my route to get home. We have a good 8-10in. and its still snowing hard, and roads are terrible thru Ks. , Ok. , and it is headed N. E. , so if I was you I would wait and watch the weather channel.

You'll probably be driving through a narrow front, giving you a bit of rain. But once you get south/east of the front, the weather should be quite nice. It was near 80 today in Roanoke, VA, and should be around 70 tomorrow. Sunny. No weather all the way to FL.

Radar look like you'll run out of the precip by mid-OH, then smooth sailiing the rest of the way.

You planning to hit SW VA on the way, or are you going farther west? Let me know, I can meet you somewhere for a meal.

I'm going to head straight down I-75, Fest3er. Seeing as we'll probably leave tomorrow (Friday) we'll be on the hammer all the way down, stopping only for fuel and one night at the half way point. My camping site at Fort Desoto is prepaid and I'm not going to let it go to waste :) Thanks for the offer to meet up tho

WEATHER

get south of the front, and smooth sailing, i suspect. forecast here in Georgia is for 80% chance of rain on friday. temp today to be i teh mid 70's.....

florida weather

fort desoto is quite nice. try to get there at least once a year. the fort itself overlooks the gulf. you can see the sunshine skyway as well. walk out to a sand bar and collect some shells. remember the sun block. weather has been above normal (mid to high 80's) for the last couple of weeks. i live about90 miles south of st. pete. have a safe trip and we appreciate your contributing to our economy!!!!! bruce

Wish I could see you, Doc, you'll be passing right by my house , about 10 miles west of me. But I'll be at work 7a. m. to 7 p. m. Friday... . and you need to make time. I don't suppose Mrs. Doc will let you stop at those "restaurants" in south Georgia where the waitresses are fully nude. :D

Oh well, have a safe trip ! The sun's out today, you'll enjoy the drive.

I've hooked up the trailer and we're all ready to go. They're predicting freezing rain during the night, until 7 am tomorrow (Friday). We plan to leave at around nine, to allow them time for the road crews to salt US23 and for some daylight to hit it for a couple of hours.

We've cleared the driveway and spread some salt in the street, out front, hoping that by morning it will not be too difficult to get out of the driveway.

We got about 8" of snow here, with freezing rain on top of that. They say that some nearby areas, like Hell (remember Diezels in Hell?), got up to 12"

sounds bad
