2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission what's this mean?

Hi all, haulin a pretty heavy 5er up a few hills, everything got alittle hot. Now I have ABS light lit, and BRAKE red light staying on on the dash. Does this mean it's stored some kind of critical code or something? Can I clear it with out a code reader? Brakes, truck and camper seem to be working as normal. Will drop this camper tomorrow then stop by and see my DOC in Angola, IN on trip back to dispatch. I can see I may be getting the software for my laptop that plugs into the data port, I need more information.

Pull the filler plug in the differential and see if there is any metal clinging to the magnet. If so, the ABs probe probably also has some on it ( in top of diff. ) This would indicate bearings in diff. going bad, mine went at about 50,000 miles. On the getting hot, the most common cause for this in our ttruck is the thermostat failing. bg
