Bought this truck a few years ago and have loved it ever since but I'm joining the navy and can't keep it! I need to get rid of it before I leave but there's not a whole lot of interest in it at the price it's set at. I bought it for 5900 and am sure I'm 10 in it. Maybe I overpaid I don't know. Not the nicest body but its still in pretty good shape. I've had dozens and dozens of people look at it but no real offers just 4 or 5 grand here and there. What do you guys think is it really only worth that much or do you think I'm right on the money at 7-7.5k? I would hate to have to sell it for less but I need it gone. http://reading.craigslist.org/cto/5667127317.html

Well, since everyone else won't post up, here it goes ! It is worth whatever someone will pay for it, plain and simple, with all the little things it needs and not even being cleaned up I would say its a 3k truck, if the AC is shot, forget about selling it around here anywhere for a few more months. Not cutting it down, just calling it as I see it !

Good looking truck and it looks pretty straight. I agree it seems high, but I don't know what first gens go for. I will say though to get top dollar, which it sounds like this is pretty much that you have to have it in more or less complete mechanical order, pretty original and able to pass inspection. Also being in PA, can we assume it's got a ton of rust on (under) it?

Yikes! Might be a keeper. Yes the front cab mounts are a little rusty and other typical places have rust but not nearly as bad as most of the trucks I see around here.

Is there anyone who can store it for you, start it once a week and use it when they need to haul/move something? First and foremost, thank you tremendously for serving! I kept our Marine son's little car in our patio while he was in the middle east.

Yeah I'll probably stick at my grandparents for a while and let my grandfather use it till I have enough to start a real restoration.

If your Lucky 4500 . it's Over the 200,000 mark and and it's Non inner cooled .And being a East Coast truck that's going to hurt resale Bad .

In case anyone's interested it sold for 6250. Figured I should cut my losses. I think it was a fair price you guys might be a little low because you are used to awesome west coast trucks but most of the trucks around here are complete rust buckets. Or maybe I just got lucky who knows. Miss it already. Anyhow thanks for the input and honest opinions!

If you got that Much out of it .Then don't look a gift horse in the Mouth .I'm not shocked to see it go for that much because a lot of people are afraid to look into shipping because they think it's going to cot a lot . When in real life it's Cheaper then you think . So when they see a truck they Settle .Not Saying anything was wrong with your truck ..It's Not just a west coast thing either .It's ALL Over . But Congrat's on selling it .

I think that was a very fair price. I'm not sure many of the guys on here have kept up with the 1st gen market in the past 5 years...especially on the east coast. As the price of a new truck has exceeded $65k, the price of a solid, good running 1st gen has gone up accordingly.
