Talk about rationalization -

How much is too much?

I just saw a Dodge being passed up be a Nison or was it a Toyota truck while under load going up a hill. Any input on this commercial delima.

Nissan Titan Commercial. I have tried to get a look at the fender on the Ram but can not see if it it s Hemi, CTD or just the 4. 7. My guess is it is a 4. 7 Ram.

The nissan "titan" with the tow package, passing a 1500 gasser with the minimum of engine/ driveline options. Lets see him try that with a gooseneck identical to mine on the one thousanth mile of a trip while climbing the rockies. Only way he would pass me is if a tow truck with a signature 600 was pulling him.

I too pay little attention to the gassers. But I find all this hype associated with the Titan a bit excessive. You can't throw a rock anywhere without hitting a Titan ad.

You hafta sorta wonder why they chose to pick on a Dodge for their comparison - could it be an acknowledgement that Ford and GM aren't even worthy competition? ;)

Don't remember seeing a HEMI emblem on it.....

I like the new Dodge gasser commercial. It just shows a Dodge out-pulling a Ford, both with trailers. Then something to the effect of: "Testing proves that Dodge wins everytime. Period. " There is some testing institute listed at the bottom of the page too.

yea, I got one of them there things stuck in my dual's once... Took me 20 miles to shake it out and about tore off my mudflap... :D

Ya gotta read the fine print they flash at the bottom of the screen for about a milli-second"as compared to the standard engine in the Ram"which would be the 4. 7. I would certainly hope the mighty "titan" ,with almost 100 more h. p. would win that race. I woder how much heavier the Ram is to begin with. Of course us Cummins guys know where the power/fuel mileage is anyhow;) ... Doug

I don't pay any attention to any gasser truck. I think the titan truck and the pathfinder armada is butt ugly. Nissan has been building some real gimmicky trucks lately. Have you seen the frontier that is supercharged and has a whopping 200HP????

OTOH, I'm looking forward to see what the new Toyota full size truck will be like. I read that it was larger than the new ferd f150 truck.

Whats a boat like that weigh? Figure it couldnt be too heavy compared to what we're pulling. Looked kinda like a two lane road too, must show the ignorance of the proud nissan driver to pass on a double yellow line going uphill, with a W900 equipped with a Signature 600 coming at him, he's not passing the Dodge, the Dodge is backing out of it so the fool in the nissan doesnt kill both of them. Bill

This commercial is no different from Dodge in the past. Remember when the Dakota came available with the 318? Every Dakota commercial was showing the towing power difference between it and a Chevy S-10 V-6! Now, the Dakota is as close to full size as you can get without getter there! The S-10 is a mini truck, period. I always wish the V-8 Dakota had been tested against the optional V-8 Silverado (SS454) You will never see a fair commercial on tv when competion is a stake. That's why I don't watch commercials for the most part. MUTE!
