I just had my brakes done at 52,000 miles. The original pads still had 40% left but I had to replace the rotors because they were worn too far to resurface. I also had to replace both rear axle seals and one rear brake cylinder. needless to say I am not impressed with the factory parts. What would cause the pads to outlast the rotors? I have never had a problem with early brake wear in 30 years of driving. When I pull a trailer it always has brakes. I just expected the rotors to outlast the pads on this truck.
