Early 04 5.9 w/NV5600 6spd.
New clutch and master/slave were put in by a big truck repair facility just prior to me buying the truck.
Everything works fine, but every time I push clutch pedal in, there is a loud clicking noise. Not sure of the source. It just sounds like its coming from the cylinder down there or possibly the safety switch. Anyhow, when I looked up under dash, this is what I found. I'm assuming this electrical component is the safety switch that tells the truck that the pedal is pushed in for starting engine. However, look close. You see the zip tie job they did and also to the far right you'll see that long white nylon strip/clip looking piece on side of switch is slightly broken/jagged/irregular shaped on the end (Towards the firewall)
This switch just basically freely slides on the shaft of the master cylinder. How should it be attached to the master? Can't tell whats missing but I know something is missing here. Prob some type of clip on the master cylinder?
