Installed Fastcooler on left side today, I have a filter kit on right side. Put in Amsoil 3000 5w-30. This afternoon went for a drive (200 miles). I ran 70 mph with no load. Temp got to about 185*. OAT was about 85*. This seems hotter than it should be. Also when I changed the transmission oil there was way more metal in the filter and on the magnet than I ever saw in my 5 speed. I have 10700 miles in it now. What temps are you 6ers running out there and what oil and fastcooler or no?

Well, this isn't going to help you any, I just installed my FastCoolers last weekend, and am currently waiting on my SPA series 2 gauges to arrive, so I don't currently have a temp gauge on my transmission. I have been running Amsoil series 3000 5W-30 in it for about 10 - 12K miles now.

A couple of weeks ago I went on a 1000 mile trip, that I drove in one day, it was 95 deg. most of the day, no fast coolers, stock oil. After driving all day at 80 er so mph  , the most it ever read was 185 deg.

Since then I have installed both fast coolers, and Amsoil series 3000 5w-30, and haven't done any real testing yet.

The above trip was empty, no trailer,no load, just my foot. :D
