MOR/ryde Hydraulic trailer brakes

Used a BAL scissor type wheel chock on my TT and it worked great! The tires are to close together on my new fifth wheel to use this chock:mad: Do they make one that collapses into a more narrow opening. like 1" or so:confused:

Got to do something about the rocking, it's driving me crazy:{

I saw a guy make his own from a 4x4 cut to about 12" long (2 pieces) with about a 45 deg angle cut on each end and he put them horizontally top and bottom of the tires with a very short load binder between them hooked to an eye bolt in each block which allowed adjustment for the clamping force. A turn buckle could be substituted for the load binder

Rotochoks are probably the best answer for your situation. I will be buying a set of them for my trailer. The duals on my trailer are VERY close together. A bit pricey at 65. 00 each but worth it as they are well made and very easy to use. You can get them at Geno's. Check website below for the sizing by tire spacing.

Roto Chocks

Just got an email from BPine, he said that one of our club members is using them and likes them also. Looks like I have a fix for the motion in the ocean:p

Thanks guys

I too used the BAL chock on my previous fiver and loved it. New fiver (Arctic Fox 29. 5T) has the tandem wheels too close to use the BAL. First tried the Herndon Wheelock purchased from Camping World, I found them awkward to use and purchased the RotoChok from Geno's. Much better, but if BAL made their Wheelock small enough to fit between the wheels of the AF I would switch in a heartbeat.

Just my $. 02

I thought that te BAL chocks were pretty good, but now I believe the Roto Chocks are better. They won't slip or twist like the BAL.

You could make a good wedge type with a all thread rod and nut in the 5/8 ''x I' for about two dollars and some scrap steel , what ever you use store bought or home made you should wait for the tires to cool down or you will have to readjust the fit as the tires shrink . To stop the movement on a fifth wheel look in to the tripod at camping world or other vendors ,or again make your own for about twenty dollars for scrap steel and threated rod ,washers,bolts and welding rods or wire , I use chocks and three Try- pods One big one in front and two small ones on back bumper ,works for me stops all side to side or front to rear movement I also still use the wood blocks fore and aft .
