Hey guys, need one front wheel cover. Some SOB decided he needed mine more than I did. Went to Dodge to get one. I hope you all are sitting down. $185. 00. NO THANKS. Anyone have a better source? Or know of a used one?

Check the closest neighbors place with a RAM... #ad
I found my spare that way. He had 215's all around and I found my 235 in his bed... My Michelin and he had Bagyears. I took it back and... left something for him to say thanks. HEHEHEHEH
Those things are real high priced.
Do you have the plastic ones, or did those come out with the 00' trucks? Cuz those are prone to cracking in the cold... SHEESH, another DC wonder.

I took the piece of crap plastic covers off as soon as I took delivery. Besides, with the all black truck it looks better. That is until I get the 19. 5" wheels.

I suppose you have thought of this but, check with your local "junk yard". They can probably find you one.

Yes, Rob I will edit this signature in a few days but, I just had to do it.

https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb/icons/icon8.gif $185 smackers??? Unbelieveable..... My suggestion: Try the local tire shops ie Big O, etc. They are often selling new wheels and know they can get their hands on wheels and caps. Plastic on the new units!!!! Come on DC, these are truck not toys,

I check tire shops - most people keep them to put back on the truck when trade time comes, their story anyway.
I checked 'junk yards' of all types even the computerized ones - search left me no where.
The '99's are still stainless, apologies to you '00 guys. What kind of morons do colleges turn into engineers these days? #ad

Aluminum is definitely out of the question for now, WE HAVE THE NEED FOR SPEED!! #ad

Anyone tried the aftermarket wheel covers from Pheniox or Summitt. At $135. 00 for a set of four i may give it a shot. Think about it $135. 00 for four and DC wants $185. 00 for one piece of one. Wonder what a whole set costs. #ad

I put aluminum wheels on my 99. I have all the covers and wheels in my shop. I do have the center pieces on my truck with the aluminum wheels though. We might work something out if it's the 4 hole one you need. Just drop me an e-mail.

Phil, Thanks

TDR members, I really hated the look without the wheel skin so i ordered a set of aftermarket simulators from Summit ( their brand ) $135. 00 for a set of four. Can you believe DC wants 185 for just one skin?? Anyway they are awesome. They bolt on i. e. go under the lug nuts, let's try to steal them now. I used the factory lug nut covers instead of the ones that came with the set. To keep the stock look, the center covers that came in the set are going on my binder ('70 1300 2wd dually)
The skins are Stainless and have a much better finish (shine) that the factory ones. Go figure for made in China. You guys with the platic jobs may look into these. Definetly worth the $$.
