I'm still doing the wheel search. Is anyone running centerline 17x8. 5's with 6" bs on a stock height 2500 quad 4wd? Are there any chassie/component rubbing problems with stock tires and further anyone running LT305/65R17 bfg AT TA Ko's on the same wheels.

I need to get tires soon and do not want to lift and really want to do this right the first time. I don't mind stepping up a couple tire sizes (fuel economy), but do not want rubbing problems on the inside of the tire (due to the slightly increased b/s of these wheels). I also do not want my new wheels to result in a mud slinging situation with the wheels sticking outside the fender lines.

I went up to 285 on my 2500 with absolutely no problems at all..... Lots of room to spare. I dont see any problems going to a 305. the radius of the tire shouldnt be much over an inch taller and i know there was atleast that after i went to the 285's. Good luck

I have the radius issue in mind, what I'm after is if the increased bs will place the tire bead closer to the frame of the truck thereby causing the potential for rubbing during full lock turning.

The stock 3rd gen wheels are around 6. 1" BS with +42mm offset. The centerlines are very close to stock. The 8. 5" width compared to the 8" width of the stock wheels may change the offset some. Do you know the offset of the centerline wheels?

I think you will be ok with that combo and no lift. At worst maybe a little rubbing at full lock and articulation.

I thought the 3 gen's were at 5" bs??

The centerlines I am looking at are wilderness series eclipse, from their webpage:

17. 0 x 8. 5 hi-polish forged wheel 6. 0" Dodge Truck 8-lug (03-newer). This is an excellent fit for the new hi-positive offset Dodge Trucks. Wheels are 32mm positive offset and will tuck nicely inside fenders. Lug pattern 8-6. 5"

The stockers are close to 6". Those centerlines should work fine. I've been looking at them. They've got some great overstock buys.

I have looked at them also since they are one of the few that have close to stock BS/offset. The prices are reasonable compared to some. I just aint sure I like them that much more than the Power Wagon alloys I have now.

I would like to see the Eclipse on a truck. I do believe they will be fine up to 305s on stock suspension.

mtnram,

I have 17X8. 5 w/ 6" bs; w/ 285/75 Toyo AT's w/ a 3" lift and I have no rubbing issues on my '07. The rims/tires do not stick out past the fenders.

regcabguy,

When I talked to Centerline in August, they told me that they will teflon coat rims for $100 each. It is a non-catalog option. Hindsight being 20/20, I would buy Centerlines in a heart beat.
