The Editor would like to know if other members have the same problem with standard tires. I too pull a Avion like Tom of the same size. . I have pulled the trailer with and without power mods. And have not had any problems backing or on the pull with wheel hop. But I do have a problem with hard braking, 4wheel ABS causes a push-pull with the trailer. That will shake the fillings out of your teeth How does one unhook the ABS for towing?

OK, nix that idea. Several of us with B&W companion RV (5th wheel) hitches have had severe 5ver bucking and/or surging problems under braking. I thought you might be a candidate for membership in our little club - as a member, you would learn the secret handshake and the "fix" for this hitch flexing problem. ;)

No almost positive the 4 wheel ABS is the push- pull problem the brake controler has now way to know that the ABS is pulsing the RAM's brakes. :)

I know this is an old post, but I found it while I was searching for something else.

I had this same problem, When I installed my Jorden Brake controller. Seems the pendelum was bouncing in the old controler causing this problem. The jorden does not use a pendulem.

I also went to a time delay brake controler. I have the problem with the time delay controler:confused:  Clem

Re: Re: Re: Wheel Hop (Member 2 Member)

when towing my 30' terry 5er, the brake problem was worse when I would hit those bumps in the road at lights left by the big rigs when they sink into the tar, as the truck would "bounce" the trailer brakes would pulse because the brake controller was bouncing. The jordon uses a cable that is attached to the brake pedal to tell how far to apply the brakes. I will never go back to anyother type of controler after using the Jordan.

Plus I noticed I don't fool with turning it up for the highway, then back down for city driving.

Sorry sounds like an advertisment, but I really love this controller.

Looks like ypu found the answer. Sounds like it works like the old brake controlers.
