Hello. I have a 1993 W350 dually and the wheel locator stud broke off on the rear drivers side hub. I.called a few tire shops, parts store and a dodge dealer and none'of them had a replacement. It seems it's just a pin that could be driven in. Has anyone had this issue and if so what's the solution. The result.of this was the lug nuts backed.off and wrecked the wheel. Thanks for looking

Maybe I am missing something, but what wheel locator pin? You lost me on this one.... Also not sure why the lug nuts would back off due to the pin being missing. There shouldnt be any movement on the studs to begin with.*

Some duallys were built with a pin the would protrude into the wheels IIRC it would help to make sure the fill valves would always align. It should not affect anything to not have one

The pin is to insure the wheel is lined up with the different type bolt holes. 4 are countersunk and four are coined, they have to mate. What happens with out the pin is if you don't pay attention you will get the coins on both wheels matched against each other, the wheel can't clamp and the result is as you described, they fall off and tear up the wheels and studs.

Here is a picture of one, Ford used this style and some older dually Dexter Axles.

Don't those wheels have the alternate concave/convex holes? Without the pin the wheel could line up on two dimpled holes and make it hard to keep tight. * *bg
