Awhile back I read a thread about a steep that slips over the wheels so you can get to the engine compartment. Does any have thier website address or the store that sells it online.

thanks Joe

Keep in mind that wheel steps are one destructive device if you move the truck and fail to take them off. After having two tilt fiberglass front ends torn up, I took them away from lube man and had plywood steps built. Always seems to happen on the off side. He would put them on to clean windows and then go do the paper work, come back to truck and back it off the hoist with step attached on right side.

Anybody have concerns about small wires (battery, brake and ground) used in the trailer wiring harness?

I made a folding wheel step from 3/4 inch square tubing and wire extruded mesh. Worked great the 4 or 5 times I used it-----then I discarded it; I knew it was just a matter of time till I tried to drive away with it on the wheel.

For a folding one

For a wide non-folding one. I have the wide one, works great for my situation as I work on larger rigs. The folding one would be better for a Ram as it is adjustable. Both are $20, if you can find $30 more of goodies to order from them shipping is free.

Thank's gents, that's the one, Sounds like a good idea to put something on the key to remind you about the step. Thanks Again

I a real believer in automatic reminders. Attach the key to the step, and you can't drive away with the step attached.

U R SO RITE!

Ken, Years ago I did the late night oil drain thing... . fill it in the morning... ... you guessed it, started that thing (no oil) lucky for me no apparent damage. A red tag on the steering wheel is it ever since!

Enthusiasm will often supercede sense!
