Wheels from 2004 3rd Gen

I found a set of 17 in wheels from a 04 truck will the bolt pattern fit on my 01?

assuming they are the same as an 06 the bolt pattern is the same. i have had the spare off of my wifes on my 01. its my understanding 3rd gen wheels can be put on a 2nd gen, but 2nd gen can not be put on a 3rd gen because of the rear brakes.

Assuming it's an 8-bolt then it'll fit. The 1500s still use a 5-bolt pattern. The backspacing is a little more (moving the wheel in) but that should be ok with stock tires.
